Employee Spotlight: Faye Passmore

Meet Faye Passmore! Faye works in the accounting department here at Musictoday.

What is your role?

Faye Passmore

“When I was first hired it was to do accounts payable. Now I do client settlements and accounts receivable.”

What is your favorite thing about working here?

“It’s changed over the years, but one thing that I really appreciate about working here is the flexibility that we are allowed with our time.”

Do you have a favorite story from your time here?

“Once Donavan Frakenreiter and one of the guys in his band stopped by our offices. They were there having a tour and were playing that night at the Starr Hill Music Hall.  I believe we all got to go that night for free as well – which is something I had forgotten about. On occasion we would get to go to shows for free at Starr Hill or the pavilion way back in the day. The best free show I went to was Rodrigo y Gabriela opening for Los Lobos at the pavilion. The whole show was fantastic but I had never heard Rodrigo y Gabriela before that night and they were incredible.”

“Absolutely, still, the best thing I ever got working here was a free upgrade on my ticket to see the Rolling Stones at Scott Stadium from somewhere in the bleachers to 4th row on the field. I love the Rolling Stones so to sit that close was amazing.”

“I like all kinds of music. I listen to WTJU, the UVA radio station because they play such a variety. I like blues, classical, jazz… I didn’t used to like  rap or hip-hop, but I’m becoming more open minded the older I get.”

How do you spend your free time?

“I do yoga. I try to garden, but I’m not very good at it. I like to cook too. I’ll go to the farmers market and get fresh veggies to cook for me and my dog. She likes veggies too! I also read a lot. I’ve always been a total bookworm.”

What is your dog’s name?

“Ginny Lou. I’ll have had her for four years in November. I got her from Augusta dog rescue. She loves to go to the front desk for treats from Kim.”

What kind of music do you like to listen to?

“I like all kinds of music. I listen to WTJU, the UVA radio station because they play such a variety. I like blues, classical, jazz… I didn’t used to like  rap or hip-hop, but I’m becoming more open minded the older I get.”

What was your first concert?

“I saw James Taylor a long time ago.”

Favorite Lunch Spot in Crozet?

“I don’t eat out very often, but when I do I like to go to Morsel Compass.”
