Client Services Account Manager

Musictoday is looking an Account Manager to work within our Client Services team. The position will be responsible for owning the relationship with his or her roster of clients. This position is also responsible for maximizing and growing revenue to meet budgetary goals. The Account Manager manages margin and profitability within their roster of client stores and coordinates with internal resources within Musictoday to ensure objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow relationships with high level and day to day client contacts
  • Use of reporting on sales, marketing, and inventory to analyze and make recommendations for client stores
  • Work with client and/or buying team to ensure stores always have full product assortment while also working to reduce overstock and maximize margin
  • Work with team members to manage pre-orders and new products, optimization of stores, and developing standards for copy and presentation in web stores
  • .Develop and maintain promotional calendar and execute against the calendar utilizing the marketing team
  • Partner with Creative team to coordinate efforts for optimization of store fronts, photography and presentation, etc.
  • Ensure that clients are properly invoiced for work, services, or products outside of the standard agreement by working closely with Finance
  • Communicate and partner closely with operations team (Distribution and Customer Care) to ensure that best in class service is provided to our clients and customers on all client stores and orders.
  • Deliver best in class service to internal and external clients and customers
  • Maintain the highest standards for work and ensure that work is completed in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned

 
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant academic field required
  • 5+ years of work experience in an e-Commerce, Entertainment or Agency
  • Experience in creating digital marketing plans and knowledge of core channels (SEM, SEO, email, mobile, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills. Possess a working knowledge of financial measurements.
  • Solid understanding of online and direct marketing programs a plus.
  • Strong account management discipline, processes and structure to enable and encourage continued growth
  • A love and deep understanding of the music, sports and entertainment industries.
  • Self-starter with strong project management skills.
  • Great organizational and time management skills on a personal and team level are a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role as there is frequent interacting with clients, vendors and other functional areas of the business.
  • Results oriented, great attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite.
